WOW! What a Week of Welcome!

Thanks to everyone who made Fall Week of Welcome a hit this year! Spring Week of Welcome is January 10-17. Check back here next summer for details on #GTWoW22.

Georgia Tech invites students to move in early to get more acquainted with campus, their peers, and Atlanta in the week before classes start. The goal is to have a stress-free transition to college with a week of fun and engaging opportunities before starting a career at Georgia Tech. Follow this year’s fun on Facebook and Instagram!

All Week of Welcome activities, as well as maps, resources, and other helpful items, will be available through Guidebook. Start by downloading the Georgia Tech Guidebook App today in the Apple or GooglePlayStore, or follow the link below to explore the 2022 Week of Welcome Guidebook on your desktop (coming July 2022).

Connect to Community

The week will be filled with opportunities to meet and connect with your fellow Yellow Jackets. Look for nightly social events like the Yellow Jacket MegaMixer powered by PlayFair, a silent disco, outdoor movie night, and more. Residents will have several chances to build community with their hallmates. Additionally, there will be programs and events throughout the week for transfer, upperclass, and graduate students to enjoy, as well as events for specific groups.

Explore Campus & Resources

This is the perfect time to get to know our beautiful campus and all the helpful resources we have to offer. Plan to attend helpful workshops from student groups and campus departments on everything from time management and nutrition to how to play American football or build robots. Students should also make time for the self-guided Traditions Tour that guides you to the most notable places at Georgia Tech. Beyond campus, there will be shuttles to nearby stores and Atlanta points of interest to help you further explore and find what you need.

A Focus on Student Community Building

Week of Welcome events give students a chance to build strong connections with friends and community, so they are open only to students. Visit the Parent & Guest FASET Canvas page here for more details on the parent-friendly events.

Get Involved in Welcoming our Students

We want to make this year’s Week of Welcome the most exciting and buzzworthy yet – we need YOU to make that happen! Members of student organizations and campus departments are invited to be a part of the welcome efforts through workshops or events they put on, or by volunteering for some of the week’s larger events like move-in.

We appreciate all of our partners for being a part of this exciting welcome effort. For questions about your event or your Guidebook listing, email weekofwelcome@gatech.edu.
