Accessibility at Week of Welcome

Week of Welcome is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for each student. Questions regarding the accessibility of Week of Welcome or requests for assistance are welcomed. Please email Week of Welcome Coordinators, Tegra Myanna at  weekofwelcome@gatech.edu

Dietary Needs

Tech Dining is committed to providing every guest with healthy, nutritious foods every day. They support those who have food allergies by providing the information and knowledge necessary to make informed food choices in each of our dining locations.

Navigating Campus

Georgia Tech provides paratransit service to students with a qualifying disability (permanent or temporary) that requires transportation as a reasonable accommodation. Learn more here. You may also reference our interactive campus map that provides universal access (ADA-compliant building entrances, parking, routes, etc.) and restrooms (gender inclusive, baby changing, and lactation spaces) filters. These filters can assist all Week of Welcome attendees in identifying routes or spaces that meet their individual needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

I am a new student; how do I know which events are for me?

Week of Welcome has been curated exclusively for our new-to-Tech students, including first-year, transfer and graduate students. While the majority of events are open to all three new student populations, there are some sessions specifically created for certain groups. For example, the Grad Expo supports our incoming grad students and will not be as meaningful to a first-year student. To find events that align with your new-to-Tech student experience, open Guidebook and filter by your classification to view all your options. You can also click any event and view the classification tags at the top.

When do I get my GT email address?

You’ll receive access to your GT email address starting on June 1.

I am coming to Week of Welcome by car, where can I park?

More information coming soon.
