We’re excited to help you start your Georgia Tech journey with confidence and connection. Before you dive into all the great events and opportunities, there’s one important step to complete: Signing the Week of Welcome Waiver.
This waiver ensures you’re ready to participate in all activities safely and is required for all first-year students. Here’s what you need to know:
If you are under 18 at the time of signing, a parent or legal guardian must complete the Week of Welcome Waiver on your behalf.

Sign in using your issued GT email address, not your alias (ex. gburdell3).

Accessibility at Week of Welcome

Dietary Needs
Tech Dining is committed to providing every guest with healthy, nutritious foods every day. They support those who have food allergies by providing the information and knowledge necessary to make informed food choices in each of our dining locations.
Navigating Campus
Georgia Tech provides paratransit service to students with a qualifying disability (permanent or temporary) that requires transportation as a reasonable accommodation. Learn more here. You may also reference our interactive campus map that provides universal access (ADA-compliant building entrances, parking, routes, etc.) and restrooms (gender inclusive, baby changing, and lactation spaces) filters. These filters can assist all Week of Welcome attendees in identifying routes or spaces that meet their individual needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
When will I get my GT email?
You will receive access to your Georgia Tech email account on June 1st. Instructions for setting up your account will be sent to the email address you used during admission.
Where can I find the full Week of Welcome schedule and event details?
The complete schedule is available on Engage. You can search by date, theme, or event type to plan your week. Visit our Engage page later in the summer for details.
What should I do if I can’t log into Engage?
First, make sure you’re using your Georgia Tech credentials. If you still can’t access Engage, try clearing your browser’s cache or using a different browser. For additional help, contact the Center for Student Engagement at engage@gatech.edu
Where can I park during Week of Welcome activities?
More information about parking for move-in and Week of Welcome will be available soon. In the meantime, you can view a full list of campus parking options by visiting Parking & Transportation
What dining options are available during Week of Welcome?
Campus dining halls and select retail locations will be open during Week of Welcome. Hours may vary, so check the Georgia Tech Dining website for updated schedules. The dining halls will be closed for Rock, Ramble, & Roll and Taste of Tech Square as first-year students will get their meals at these events.
